How Long Mark Zuckerberg Works.

Mark Zuckerberg, in a surprising revelation, has said that the amount of time he spends in the office is about 50-60 hours per week, which is close to normal for other employees. According to ABC News, Mark Zuckerberg's comment came in an unannounced question-and-answer session on his Facebook page. He said that he has remained focused his entire life if one counts the time he has spent on his mission.

Few Facts:

 1. While studying at the Harvard University Mark Zuckerberg, a psychology sophomore, developed "Facemash," a website that asked users to judge students' attractiveness based on their dorm-directory photos. However, the site did not go well with authorities and many students. On February 4th’ 2004 he launched Thefacebook.com, a social network that allowed users to create basic profiles including personal information and photos. Initially, Facebook was supposed to be a networking site for university grads, but was thrown open for everybody in 2006. 
Facebook has three other co-founders, all college roommates and fellow students of Harvard University; Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes.

2. Harvard students Cameron Winklevoss, Tyler Winklevoss and Divya Narenya sent Mark Zuckerberg a cease-and-desist letter, accusing him of independently developing thefacebook.com while he was hired to work on their social networking project, HarvardConnection. According to promotional material later published by ConnectU's lawyers, Facebook settled with the founders of "ConnectU", the Winklevoss twins and Divya Narendra, for a purported $65 million. Facebook has three other co-founders, all college roommates and fellow students of Harvard University; Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes.

3.  Facebook CEO - Mark Zuckerberg, is red-green colour blind, which means that the best colour he can see is blue. He reportedly once said, "Blue is the richest colour for me. I can see all of blue." No prizes for guessing why blue is the most dominant colour on the world's top social networking site.

4. While in high school, Mark Zuckerberg co-developed a music app called Synapse Media Player. 
Tech giants Microsoft and AOL reportedly offered him a million dollars to further develop the app as well as wanted to hire him. He instead chose to join Harvard University.

As per his Facebook profile his interests include: Eliminating Desire, Minimalism, Making Things, Breaking Things, Information flow, Revolutions, Openness. His favorite musicians include Daft Punk and Lady Gaga. He lists "Ender's Game" as one of his favorite books. He also lists four non-English languages he could read and write: French, Hebrew, Latin, and ancient Greek.

6. Born to Jewish parents, Mark Zuckerberg considers himself an atheist. According to a report in Business Insider, he doesn't own a TV.

7. Mark Zuckerberg drives a black Acura TSX. The 27-year old has been reported as saying "it's safe, comfortable, not ostentatious.”

8. In 2011, Facebook CEO surpassed Google founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, in estimated wealth. With an estimated fortune of $17.5 billion, he broke into the ranks of the richest 20 Americans for the first time -- coming in at No. 14 in Forbes 400 list. Page and Brin shared space at No. 15 on the list and saw their net worth at $15 billion each.

9. On May 19, 2012, Mark Zuckerberg married his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan. The two reportedly met at a party while waiting in line for washroom. In September 2010, Chan moved into his rented Palo Alto house.Incidentally, Chan was one of the first people to join Facebook, on February 5th , 2004. Chan was also among the first few people to join Facebook, on February 5, 2004 (the day after it was launched).

10. In 2014, Mark Zuckerberg topped the GQ's worst-dressed men in Silicon Valley list. He got the top honour for ill-fitting hoodies, jeans, t-shirts and Adidas sandals. GQ wrote, "Oblivious to the fact that jeans and ties come in skinny sizes -- or that suits exist -- the father of Facebook (and we do mean father) loves to recycle the fresh-from-Stats-class look." He is mostly spotted in his trademark jeans with black tie over a t-shirt at most press events or special occasions.

11. Mark Zuckerberg became the youngest billionaire in the world at the age of 23 in the year 2008, according to a Forbes estimate. He was ranked 785 on the World’s Billionaires list. Mark Zukerberg scored initial $500,000 investment from PayPal cofounder Peter Thiel.

12.Mark Zuckerberg’s compensation for last year included $692,679 in costs associated with use of a private jet. He also received $90,850 in estate and financial planning last year. He also received a $220,500 bonus in the first half of 2011, Facebook stated in the filing for its initial public offering. Starting next year, He will take a $1 annual salary. He will control 56.9 per cent of the voting shares in a company expected to be valued at up to $100 billion when it goes public. Facebook says it has 845 million active monthly users.

13. Mark Zuckerberg receives special security protection paid for by Facebook, according to the company's SEC filing. This includes a security system at his house in Palo Alto, California, and the annual cost of security personnel. “We require these security measures for the company’s benefit because of the importance of him to Facebook, and we believe that the costs of this comprehensive security programme are appropriate and necessary,” according to the filing.
